Overview of the single girder crane:

Single girder crane is widely used in machinery manufacturing, workshop ,petroleum, petrochemical, metallurgical workshop, ports, railways, civil aviation, power station, paper making, construction materials, electronics and other industries workshops, warehouses, material yard, etc. have the advantages like external shape compact size, low headroom, light weight, small wheel pressure, etc. It is the most widely use scope, the largest number of a kind of hoisting machinery.

The main type of single girder crane have LDA series、LD series 、HD series，LX series single girder suspension crane，SDXQ series manual single girder suspension crane and single girder grab crane.

The features of the single girder crane:

How to choose the types of the single girder crane?

First, it conforms to the general portal crane GB/T14406 - 1993 and the relevant provisions of the GB5905-86, in general, the lifting weight under 50 t and the span within the 35 m, no special use requirements, it is appropriate to choose the single girder crane. If the requirements of wide leg width, high working speed, or lifting heavy, long and great things frequently, it’s better to choose double girder crane.

Double girder bridge crane is an important tool and equipment for the production process mechanization and automation in the modern industrial production and transportation. Therefore, the double girder bridge crane is widely used in the indoor or outdoor industrial and mining enterprises, iron and steel industry, railway transportation, port terminal, logistics and other departments and places


 

The types of double girder cranes:

LH series electric hoist double girder crane, 5 ~ 10 tons of double beam gantry crane, QD series double girder crane.

Design of outstanding advantages:

The outstanding feature is lifting height (how far above the floor your hoist will lift).Double girder cranes provide better lifting height, typically 18-36 inches better. It can provide more lift, because on double girder cranes the hoist is placed between the cross girders, not under the cross girder.  

How to choose the types of double girder crane?

When you choose the type of one double girder crane must based on the following main parameters :

1. Span： 10.5～31.5m，13～31m
2. Lifting Height：6～22m
3. Lifting Weight：5～10t，16/3.2～50/10t，75/20～100/20t，100/32t, 125/30～250/50t，300/40t， 350/75t，400/80t，600/150t
4. Crane classification group：According to the frequent use of different, divided into A5, A6, A7 .

Firstly, the different from the lifting mechanism, generally there is a hoist or two hoists running one the single beam to carry and lift ;then double girder crane has two types, we have mentioned as above: QD and LH, trolley are running on the double girder for both types, so, QD trolley uses a winch as lifting mechanism while LH trolley uses hoists, see below comparison picture:

Further, different in applications: single girder crane is usually used in light duty load lifting(20ton) and short operation time (about 6 hours),double girder normally used in heavy duty load (above 20 ton) and long time operation (8hours or above).

Last sensitive difference is the price, we can know from above double girder is more expensive than single girder one due to different structure and mechanisms.
