What Should Be Follow to Operate Crane?

Before Crane Start to Work

You should check the parts according to the requirement, such as brake, hook, steel wire rope, safety device and so on. Once found unusual phenomenon, the operator should exclusion at once.

During Operating Crane

1. When the load reaches the maximum weight, heavy loads should be put down again, after they are suspended from the ground 0.5 meters. After checking and guaranteeing the performance is reliable, the crane could be allow to work again.
2. During the operation process, the operator should ring the alarm for the following various operation according to the rules.
   • When crane need to lift and land heavy objects, or when large and small trolley start to run.
   • When the sight of the crane traveling is not clear, the crane operator should ring the alarm serially.
   • When the running crane approach another crane in the span.
   • When the lifted heavy weights approach people.
3. The crane should be operated according to the unity provision commanding signal.
4. When power is suddenly cut off during working, all of the hand shank of the brake should be put in “zero” button, check the operation of crane is normal or not before re-work.
5. It is forbidden to operate the opposite brake stop during the normal operation condition of the large and small trolley. When you want to change the direction of the trolley, the hand shank should be put in “zero” button, then drive the trolley to opposite direction until the mechanism fully break down.
6. About the two hooks of the crane. When change-using and around the same height of two hooks, in order to two hooks coming into crash, the main hook and secondary hook must be operate all alone.
7. It is forbidden that the two hooks lifting two weights at the same time for the two hooks crane. Please remember to lift the brake of the lifting mechanism under the situation of the crane outwork.
8. It is not allowed to stop the crane by using the extreme position limiter, and it is forbidden to adjust the brake of lifting mechanism under the loading situation.
9. Execute the “Ten Not Lifting” system strictly:
   • Unclear commanding signal or giving arbitrary orders that is not suitable for lifting.
   • Exceeding the rated loading capacity is not suitable for lifting.
   • Using hoisting tools unreasonably and banding heavy weights unstably is not suitable for lifting.
   • When there is people or other free-standing object on the heavy object, it is not suitable for lifting.
   • When the brake or other braking safety device failure, it is not suitable for lifting.
   • Lifting weights to process directly by crane is not suitable for lifting.
   • Slanting pull hang on heavy object  is not suitable for lifting.
   • Explosive objects is not suitable for lifting.
   • The objects under the ground is not suitable for lifting.
   • Object with edge angle and not good mat is not suitable for lifting.
10. Once found abnormal, please stop the crane immediately to check the problem and repair the crane.

After Working

1. When the hook is elevated to a certain height, park large trolley and small trolley in a specified position, put the controller handle on “zero” button, then pull down the hand shank of protect box and cut off the power.
2. Daily maintenance.
3. Maintain a good record on working shifts.

Technical Rules for Crane Safety Operation

1. Arrange professional staff to operate.
2. Install the tonnage brand between the crane span structure
3. During the crane operation, it is forbidden that there is person on the bridge or trolley
4. Only when the power is cut, can the operator be allowed to inspect and maintain the crane.
5. Prohibit throwing items on the crane.
6. Prohibit hoisting article passing trough from the top head of people.
7. Before liquid metal and important goods are suspended, it is required firstly to check whether the brake is absolutely reliable.
8. When the wind speed is above six level, crane for outdoor operation is forbidden to work.
9. Main hook and auxiliary hook of crane can not be used simultaneously, unless the design allows.
10. The crane must be inspected regularly every year, and record the result in equipment archives.
