As is known to all, there is a crane which looks like a door from the whole. Of course, this kind of crane can be divided into different types .In general, these cranes are used in different occasions according to their own characteristics and customers demand. Such as, the outdoor goods yard、wharf、port、railway and so on. Then, how do we live up to the right security operation when we are faced with such a large gantry crane? Here are some correct operation methods as follows:

Before work:

First, you have to carry out the safety inspection of equipment, which consists of the arrester, hook, wire rope and other components. During the inspection period, you must eliminate the abnormal phenomenon of this equipment in time.
You cannot close main power supply before making sure that no one is on the stage or on the track. If you encounter there is locked or billboard in the power circuit breaker before closing power supply, you are obliged to find the relevant personnel to carry out the removal.

At work:

• The weight should be put down after hanging from the ground height 0.5 meters when lifting the weight reached the maximum load. Checking brake performance at once, then you could reexecute normal operations until ensuring it is reliable.
• You must ring the bell for the following assignment: rising or falling weight, starting cart or trolley, Crane travels in the line of sight which is not clear, continuous ringing immediately. Gantry crane approaches other cranes during operation. When lifting the heavy object draws near the person.
• You should be carried out in accordance with the unified provisions of the command signal in operation.

• If a crane has two lifting hooks, you must take care of the height between them. Keeping the two hooks work independently so that they can avoid colliding.
• Two hook crane prohibits the two lifting hooks hang two things at the same time. Adjusting the arrester of crane when it doesn’t work, of course, it is not allowed to adjust arrester when there are some loadings.
• Executing the "nine no hanging" institution strictly as the following: (1) Command signal is unknown or arbitrary command. (2) Over rated capacity. (3)Slings for lifting loads are used inconsequently or the objects are tied loose. (4)Someone or other floating objects on a hanging object. (5)Brake or other safety devices failure. (6)When hanging weights are processed directly. (7)Explosive objects. (8)Object is buried in the ground. (9)The object with edges and corners.
• Stopping the crane immediately if you found it is abnormal.

After work

• The hook is elevated to a certain height and the hand shake of controller should be placed in “zero” position.
• Placing cart and trolley in the designated position.
• Putting down the protection box switch handle down and cutting off the electricity supply.
• The crane should be maintained by daily maintenance.
